Siamo stati bene, io e la mia famiglia, all’Hotel Columbia e penso proprio che il prossimo anno ripeteremo l’esperienza (stessa spiaggia, stesso mare…stesso albergo!).
Ora che è giunto l’autunno e…non vi sono più zanzare (e si spera nemmeno “zanzarotti” e zanzarofobi), ci mancano un po’ la tranquillità del luogo, la sobrietà dell’albergo, il piacere di un solitario bagno in piscina sotto i pini…
Come “cameo”, a integrazione e rifinitura di un mio precedente commento già apparso sul “guestbook”, ho scritto una recensione, disponibile su “TripAdvisor”.
Colgo l’occasione per salutare la famiglia Gardini e, in particolare, la Signora Rita per la gentilezza riservatami durante un cordiale colloquio telefonico.
How to get there: airports, highways, routes
The Province of Ravenna is located in the north-east of Italy, about 80 km from Bologna, capital of the region named "Emilia-Romagna".
Bologna has the main international airport of the region, Guglielmo Marconi Airport, which is about 90 km from Ravenna.
From the airport you can reach Ravenna by car (the journey is entirely by motorway) or by train (between 1 and 2 hours)
Arriving by car
From Rome, from southern Italy, by car.
- From Rome, take the E45, direction Perugia / Ravenna.
- Once in Ravenna, stay on the freeway.
- Continue to Venice and "Lidi Nord", on street n°309 Romea.
- At the sign "Marina Romea", turn and the Hotel Columbia is waiting you in the main square, along the main street near the pinewood.
From Florence, Milan, Bologna, northern Italy, by car
- From Bologna highway A14 goto in "Ancona" direction, take care to turn and take the link to Ravenna (after "Imola").
- Once in Ravenna, stay on the freeway.
- Continue to Venice and "Lidi Nord", on street n°309 Romea.
- At the sign "Marina Romea", turn and the Hotel Columbia is waiting you in the main square, along the main street near the pinewood.
Other kind of transportation
From Milan. Every day, from June to August, you can come from Milan with the highway company "Autostradale".

Airports
Other airports such as Forli (Giacomo Ridolfi) 30 km from Ravenna and Rimini (Miramare) 60 km from Ravenna are less than an hour's drive from Ravenna.
The major airports of Milan (Malpensa and Linate) can be reached by motorway in about 4 hours, Rome airport (Leomardo da Vinci) in 5 hours and Venice (Marco Polo) in about 2 hours.
The fastest connections to the Province of Ravenna are by motorway and road.
Ravenna is located on the railway lines Rimini-Ferrara, Ravenna-bologna and Ravenna-Florence. The line through the Apennines to Florence is recommendable for its picturesque scenery and the beautiful towns through which it passes: Ravenna, Faenza, Brisighella, Marradi and Florence.
How can I have an enjoyable holiday in Marina Romea?
Step 1: Book a low-cost flight to Italy, Bologna (or Forlí) with Ryanair then take the train or hire a car and drive to Marina Romea (follow the signposts to Ravenna-"Lidi Nord") or use the dedicated bus (departures for Ravenna at: 12:05 / 16:45 / 21:15).
Step 2: Reserve your room(s) at the Columbia Hotel
